October 2006 - Cook's Delegate to Terra Madre, Torino, Italy - the biennial Meeting of the World Food Communities of Slow Food International

 

April 2003 to March 2004 - Cornell University , Community Food and Agriculture Program Ithaca , New York Growing Home , a program for community development professionals specializing in food and agriculture. Focus of this S.A.R.E. funded project was to bring together a diversified group of food and ag professionals from the Northeast and develop community based projects in the food and agriculture realm.

I spent two weeks on the Spannochia Estate working in the garden and the kitchen, learning the cuisine and traditional farming methods of the region.
